SMIRGITT ("SMIRGITT", "we", "us", "our") operates smirgitt.com, the Social Media Influencer Ratings Guide for Instagram, TikTok and Threads (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you submit. When you use SMIRGITT you may:

• Look up or score a creator — we record the @handle you searched so we can generate and display that creator's SMIRG Score.
• Rate a creator (SKIP, WORTH IT or SUPER) — we store the rating together with the creator's handle.
• Submit a written review or verdict — we store the review text, the creator's handle, and the SMIRG Score at the time you wrote it.
• Email us — we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

Public creator data. Creator profiles display publicly available information — handles, display names, categories, links to public profiles, and published follower-count approximations — together with scores produced by our own formula and community ratings and reviews. See our Disclaimer for how scores and follower counts are derived.

Automatic data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps) for security, performance and abuse prevention. We and our partners may also use cookies and similar technologies as described below.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies in three ways:

• Essential cookies — required for the Site to function, remember basic preferences, and keep the service secure.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages and creators are popular so we can improve the Site.
• Advertising cookies — SMIRGITT is supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to SMIRGITT or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site's core features will still work.

How we use information

• To operate, display and improve the ratings guide — including generating scores, rankings, Top 100 lists and the creator directory.
• To show community ratings and reviews alongside creator profiles.
• To prevent abuse, spam and manipulation of ratings and rankings.
• To respond to your emails, correction requests and removal requests.
• To measure traffic and understand how the Site is used.

Service providers who process data for us

We rely on a small number of processors to run the Site: our database is provided by Supabase, and the Site is hosted by Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf to store the directory, ratings and reviews, and to serve the Site. We may also use advertising partners (see "Cookies and advertising") and analytics providers.

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers above, when required by law or a valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of SMIRGITT, our users or the public.

Third-party links

Creator profiles link out to third-party websites and apps, including Instagram, TikTok and Threads. Those services are operated by their own owners under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites — please review their policies before using them.

Children

SMIRGITT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at citylinks4u@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Your choices: access, correction and deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you — including a review you submitted or a creator listing about you — by emailing citylinks4u@gmail.com. For creator-related requests, please include the creator's @handle and the platform (Instagram, TikTok or Threads) so we can find the listing quickly. We aim to respond within a few business days.

Data retention and security

We keep submitted ratings, reviews and directory data for as long as needed to operate the guide, and server logs for a limited period. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
